Google Fonts is shipping a Font Provider in Google Play Services. This meansGoogle Fonts are available to native apps on Android devices!
Find the font you want to preview, select your text, and click the font from the panel to apply. It’s so much faster than returning to the Google Font menu every time you want to change fonts. I've noticed that you can now add your own fonts to Google Docs. When clicking the More fonts. Button, the following dialog box appears. On the right hand side, the My fonts section shows some custom fonts.

To request a font from the Google Fonts provider use the following query format:

If besteffort is true and your query specifies a valid family name but therequested width/weight/italic value is not supported we will return the bestmatch we can find within the family. For example, a request forOswald at weight 900 would returnOswald at weight 700.

- Click on the font drop-down menu.

Can I Add Fonts To Google Docs
Your choices are based on the list of fonts available from Google Fonts. You can sort the list by alphabetical order, popularity (default), date added, or trending. You can also sort according to font types:
- Display: these decorative fonts are adequate for posters and banners.
- Handwriting: fonts made to look like an actual person’s calligraphy.
- Monospace: each character in the font is the same width as the other characters.
- Serif: the end of each letter is embellished by a small stroke (e.g.: Times New Roman)
- Sans-serif: the end of each letter is straight (e.g.: Arial)
